What You Will Do:
As a Supply Chain Project Manager , you will lead critical initiatives focused on supplier diversification and supply risk mitigation to enhance supply chain resilience and performance for our aerospace and defense programs. You will drive strategic sourcing projects, manage complex supplier transitions, and foster collaboration across Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure continuity of supply and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supplier Diversification & Risk Mitigation: Lead and execute projects aimed at reducing dependency on single/sole source suppliers and improving overall supply chain agility.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Customer Service, and Program Management to proactively identify supply chain risk areas and prioritize strategic sourcing initiatives.
New Supplier Development: Evaluate, assess, and develop new suppliers, ensuring full alignment with stringent aerospace quality standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., AS9100, ITAR, DFARS).
Supplier Transition Management: Drive end-to-end project management for complex supplier transitions, including detailed planning, rigorous timeline management, comprehensive risk mitigation, and clear stakeholder communication.
Supplier Capability & Onboarding: Conduct thorough supplier capability assessments, technical reviews, and manage the complete onboarding process for new supply partners.
Sourcing Analytics & Strategy: Analyze cost structures, lead times, and logistics data to support strategic sourcing decisions, make-vs-buy analyses, and overall supply chain optimization.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate cross-functional reviews and provide clear, concise project updates to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Performance Tracking: Track, monitor, and report on key project metrics such as cost reduction achieved, lead time improvements, and overall supplier performance during transitions.

Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or progressive experience in a purchasing or supply chain function.
Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain, strategic sourcing, engineering, or operations preferably within the aerospace or high-tech manufacturing.
Strong understanding of aerospace supplier qualification processes, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
Proven track record in leading complex supply chain projects with measurable outcomes.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Infor, SAP) and project management tools.
Experience working with electromechanical systems, PCB/PCBA suppliers, and build-to-print commodities.
P referred Specialized Skills and Abilities
Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion.
PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to drive strategic sourcing decisions.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Jira is a plus

Salary Range :
Please note the typical hiring range is $117,300 - $158,700 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
