Supply Chain Executive – North America

Location: North America (Remote / Hybrid – based near a major logistics hub preferred)
Reports to: Supply Planning Manager, Life Scientific

About Life Scientific

At Life Scientific, we reverse-engineer and manufacture high-quality, off-patent crop protection products that perform to the same standards as the original — helping farmers access sustainable and affordable solutions worldwide.

Our North American business continues to expand rapidly, and we’re seeking a Supply Chain Executive to join our growing operations team. This is a key hands-on role responsible for purchasing, material planning, logistics coordination, and communication with manufacturing partners, tollers, and 3PL warehouses across the region.

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, the Supply Chain Executive will manage day-to-day purchasing, inventory flow, and production support activities across our North American supply network.

This role ensures that materials, intermediates, and finished products move seamlessly through our supply chain - from procurement to toll manufacturing to customer delivery - in full compliance with company standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & MRP Execution

Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in coordination with the Tolling Planner and Supply Planning Manager.

Place purchase orders and maintain accurate supplier and material data within SAP (lead times, pricing, incoterms, payment terms, etc.).

Track and manage on-time delivery (OTIF) performance by supplier and address any late or incomplete shipments.

Ensure all purchasing documentation and customs paperwork are complete and communicated to internal and external stakeholders (tollers, suppliers, logistics providers, and customs brokers).

Monitor inbound raw materials and active ingredients, ensuring timely delivery to toll manufacturing partners.

    2. Scheduling & Material Availability

Ensure all materials are available at manufacturing sites ahead of planned production runs.

Support alignment between production orders and sales orders, providing visibility to Customer Service and Commercial teams on product availability and timelines.

Participate in planning and coordination meetings with tollers, internal supply chain, and commercial functions.

    3. Logistics & Transfers

Coordinate all material and finished goods transfers between tollers, warehouses, and customers.

Liaise with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and customs partners to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

Manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, SDS, and Certificates of Analysis, ensuring full traceability and accuracy.

Track transportation costs and support continuous improvement in logistics efficiency and cost optimization.

    4. Data Management & Reporting

Maintain MRP and logistics data in SAP to ensure accuracy of planning and inventory visibility.

Support supplier and logistics performance reviews with data and metrics (e.g., OTIF, lead time accuracy, and exception management).

Contribute to KPI tracking and process improvement projects within the global supply chain team.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or production planning, ideally within agrochemical, chemical, or manufacturing industries.

Solid understanding of ERP / MRP systems (SAP experience preferred).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across time zones and functions.

Proven ability to operate effectively in a virtual / hybrid and fast-paced environment.

    Desirable:

Experience with Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with import/export logistics, international shipping, and customs compliance.

Exposure to toll manufacturing or contract production environments.

    Advanced Excel and reporting skills.

    Key Competencies

    Ownership and accountability for results.

    Strong organizational and coordination ability.

Analytical mindset with a continuous improvement focus.

Effective communicator and relationship builder with suppliers, tollers, and internal teams.

    Adaptable and resourceful under pressure.

    What You’ll Get

Opportunity to play a key role in Life Scientific’s North American growth.

Collaborative, fast-paced environment with global exposure.

    Competitive compensation and benefits package.

A mission-driven company focused on innovation, quality, and sustainability in crop protection.
