Surgery Scheduler

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating patient surgical appointments, obtaining clearances before surgery , obtaining insurance prior authorizations and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires strong people skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Travel between both office locations as needed.

Duties

• Schedule surgical procedures with patients, ensuring all necessary information is collected and confirmed.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-up.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate schedules and ensure optimal patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the system, including updating files and managing documentation.
• Handle inquiries from patients and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk.
• Assist with medical billing processes as needed, ensuring accuracy in coding and insurance verification.
• Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to patient information and scheduling.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in a medical office setting, ideally with a background as a surgical coordinator or scheduler. Familiarity with clinic operations, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in systems management are essential. A commitment to providing excellent customer service is required, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
