Surgical Dental Assistant

Dental Specialists & Implant Clinic of Iowa is looking for a Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, or a Surgical Tech to become a part of our oral surgery team! This position is an integral part of our patientcare team and overall customer experience. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and an upbeat personality. This position requires the ability to multi-task, be detailed and have strong organization and communication skills. Candidates preferably have 1+ years experience in Dental Assisting, Surgical Assisting, or Medical Assisting but are so willing to train the right individual with no experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

Actively attend to the patient’s individual concerns within the scope of the Dental Assistant/Surgical Assistant/Medical Assistant’s license

Prepare patients for their procedure and assist the doctor, thereby enabling the team to provide efficient, high quality oral surgery treatment

Review the patients’ health history and/or medical records

Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (e.g. OSHA, HIPPA, Dental Board policies and practices)

Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, an outgoing personality and the ability to work as a true “team” member
