Surgical Dental Assistant - Perio office

We are a well-established periodontal practice seeking a motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our team full time as a Surgical Dental Assistant. This role is ideal for an energetic, compassionate professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced surgical environment and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.

Our office is a fully digital practice utilizing advanced technology including digital charts and radiographs, Cone Beam CT, and Trios intraoral scanning. Experience with Eaglesoft and Panda Perio is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the periodontist with surgical procedures including implants, grafts, and periodontal surgeries
• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Take 2D/3D dental radiographs and assist with intraoral scanning
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments using strict infection control protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Review medical histories and monitor vital signs when necessary
• Educate patients on post-operative care
• Assist with occasional front office duties such as scheduling and patient coordination

Requirements

• RDA or DA experience (periodontal or surgical experience preferred)
• X-ray certification required
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and sterilization protocols
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
• Spanish speaking is a plus

Schedule

Full-time (no weekends)
Mon–Thurs: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Fri: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay: $24.00 - $37.00 per hour
