Position: Survey CAD Technician

Reports To: Director of Land Survey
Summary
A ZNS Survey CAD Technician will work in the office drafting a variety of surveys, including but not limited to plats, lot surveys, boundary and topographic, as built and JD surveys as well as completing Elevation Certificates. Candidate should be able to draft survey using the survey field notes and survey points, as-well as preform the necessary parcel research required for the project. Candidate should be able to take direction from the PSM in charge. They should have a working knowledge and application of standard surveying techniques and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Communicating with survey field crews in a clear, concise manner
· Prepare finished surveying relating documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D environment.
· Perform complex survey/geomatical calculations and analysis of survey data for preparing survey maps, sketches, plats and right of way mapping.
· Research and compile existing data for projects as needed to efficiently complete survey requirements, also analyze deeds, title reports and other research materials for the production of survey maps and reports.
· Effective coordination and communication with other team members.
· Write legal/land descriptions.
· Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
· Make surveying decisions and document same in survey reports.
· Prepare and/or direct the preparation of client deliverables.
· Ensure QC process has been completed prior to survey products advancing to Project Manager review.
Required Qualifications
· Experience and proficiency with general land surveying practices, principles, and procedures
· Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D plan production
· Written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
· Experience in working towards deadlines
· Ability to multi-task and efficiently respond to changing priorities
· CST (a Plus but not necessary)
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of two (4) years of relevant experience with land surveying
· Valid Florida driver’s license, with a clean driving record
