Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi with precision, artistry, and consistency, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and food safety in all food preparation areas, adhering to health regulations at all times
- Source fresh ingredients daily, ensuring quality and freshness for every dish served
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Assist in creating new sushi menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Properly store ingredients and manage inventory to minimize waste and optimize freshness
- Educate junior staff on sushi preparation techniques, safety protocols, and presentation standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety practices
- University experience is a plus, demonstrating dedication to learning and professional growth
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
