Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability & ESG Director to lead sustainability initiatives, oversee ESG compliance, and align corporate responsibility strategies with organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to foster a culture of sustainability and ethical governance.

Key Responsibilities

• ESG Strategy: Define and implement enterprise-wide ESG frameworks.
• Sustainability Programs: Develop initiatives that reduce environmental impact and promote social responsibility.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to GCC regulations, ISO standards, and international ESG reporting frameworks.
• Risk Management: Identify ESG-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executives, regulators, and industry partners to align ESG goals with business objectives.
• Reporting & Transparency: Oversee sustainability reporting, disclosures, and communication with stakeholders.
• Innovation Leadership: Drive adoption of emerging sustainable finance practices and digital ESG tools.
• Team Leadership: Mentor ESG professionals and foster a culture of accountability and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, or related field.
• 12+ years of sustainability and ESG management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and GCC regulatory environments.
• Expertise in sustainability reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Experience in multinational or regional financial organizations preferred.

Pay: RO2,800.000 - RO4,000.000 per month

Work Location: In person
