Reporting to: CISO (Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer)

Location: Istanbul/Esenyurt

About the Role


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sustainability Manager to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Korozo’s sustainability strategy in alignment with corporate goals. This role will drive initiatives to enhance our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, advance decarbonization, and ensure compliance with international sustainability standards. The successful candidate will be a key driver in positioning Korozo as a leader in sustainable packaging solutions.


Key Responsibilities;


Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and maintain a pragmatic, results-oriented sustainability strategy aligned with best-practice ESG principles, corporate objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Define and oversee business-relevant targets (e.g., carbon reduction, product circularity, social impact) for operations, supply chain, products, policies, and people.
  • Determine and align public commitments with recognized industry frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., SBTi, EcoVadis, CDP).

ESG Management & Reporting

  • Monitor, coordinate, and report on ESG-related KPIs and targets across environmental, social, and governance dimensions.
  • Lead preparation and submission of ESG and sustainability reports, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with global standards.
  • Manage social and environmental audits, including preparation, execution, follow-up, and corrective action planning.

Collaboration & Implementation

  • Work closely with group companies, innovation, marketing, and technical teams to support sustainable product and process innovation, focusing on emissions, chemicals, and water efficiency.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement projects that deliver measurable ESG improvements and achieve strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement social sustainability and compliance strategies aligned with international standards (e.g., BSCI, SEDEX).

Governance

  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and governance structures to ensure compliance with international ESG regulations and corporate governance best practices.
  • Monitor and ensure ethical business conduct, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and human rights compliance across operations and supply chain.
  • Support corporate risk management processes, integrating ESG risk assessments into overall business risk frameworks.
  • Oversee ESG data governance, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness for both internal and external reporting.
  • Lead internal training and awareness programs on governance-related topics, ensuring employees understand their role in compliance and ethical practices.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to prepare for and respond to regulatory inquiries, audits, or industry disclosures


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience , with at least 5 years in a sustainability leadership role .
  • Proven track record in sustainability strategy, ESG reporting, and corporate responsibility in a manufacturing, industrial, or packaging environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, ESG regulations, decarbonization practices, and climate change policies.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership and cross-functional management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and results-driven mindset.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of influencing senior leadership and external partners.
  • High proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with carbon markets, environmental compliance, and sustainability certifications, packaging is a plus.
