Sweeper Driver

The Street Sweeper Driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty sweeper truck to perform assigned duties on cleaning private streets, parking lots, and/or other locations. This position is responsible for thoroughly and effectively servicing the clients’ needs while complying with Company policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operates sweeping vehicle that cleans streets.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Ensures vehicle is operating correctly while on the route and notifies Route Supervisor/Dispatch/Maintenance of any concerns.
• Understands and practices operating best practices.
• Immediately reports any unsafe situations/service calls to Supervisor/Dispatch before attempting service.
• Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and safety meetings as required by the Company.
• Works closely with Supervisors to improve route efficiencies and identify any on-road issues.
• Performs all duties as scheduled by Supervisor or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
• Notifies Route Supervisor of any incidents/accidents/injures/property damage.
• Provides a positive professional customer attitude when dealing with customers.
• Completes job tickets with information and leaves with customer when required.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned, including training others.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Permit or less than 2 years of driving experience.
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
