Join our seasonal swim school as a Swim Instructor, where you'll inspire confidence and foster a love for water and safety among swimmers of all ages. In this energetic role, you'll learn to deliver engaging swimming lessons, teach a customized program, and champion each swimmer’s successes. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help our swimmers achieve their goals while ensuring a safe, fun, and motivating environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on our swimmers’ lives through the magic of water and the power of swimming. All training provided. The job is perfect for a high school senior, college student or teacher who has the summer free.

Duties

• Teach one-on-one swimming lessons for diverse age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
• Implement tailored swim programs that focus on technique, safety, and efficiency
• Teach proper body mechanics, breathing techniques, and water safety skills to swimmers
• Incorporate elements of coaching to create dynamic and motivating lessons
• Monitor participants’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Develop excellent communication skills to motivate swimmers and convey technical concepts clearly. Be able to communicate progress with parents
• Enforce safety protocols by supervising each swimmer, preventing accidents, and responding effectively to emergencies
• Help maintain a clean, organized pool area

Requirements

• Having a love for working with children mandatory. Babysitting experience is a plus
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics relevant to swimming and physical activity is a plus, but not mandatory
• Certification in CPR & First Aid is mandatory. Certification in water safety instruction is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
