We are a nationwide company with over 200 locations, helping to save lives! Come and join us at the British Swim School, where we’ve been teaching the “Survival of the Littlest” since 1981.

Requirements For Swim Instructors/Teachers

As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Even if you are not an expert swim instructor, that’s ok! We can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach, but here is what we do need from you.

• Do need to be a “swimmer”, not necessarilary. We will teach you how to teach the lessons, a swimming background is preferred. You should understand all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• You've got to love working with children & adults and seeing them progress.
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• This is a year-round position, and we are looking for longer-term employees. This is not a summer job.
• Be able to work weekend mornings (Saturday & or Sunday) from 8:30 am-2 pm
• Be able to start weekdays from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm
• Reliable transportation to our Lake Mary & or Sanford locations is required
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
