We are seeking an experienced and reliable Swimming Pool Technician to install, maintain, and repair swimming pools and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of pool water chemistry, filtration systems, pumps, heaters, and cleaning processes. This role requires hands-on skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to keep pools safe, clean, and operational.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning of swimming pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing walls, and cleaning filters.
  • Test and balance pool water chemistry, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels.
  • Add and adjust chemicals safely to maintain proper water quality.
  • Monitor and prevent algae growth, scaling, and water cloudiness.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and circulation systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in pool equipment.
  • Ensure all pool operations comply with safety regulations and local health codes.
  • Maintain proper signage, safety equipment, and hazard prevention measures.
  • Advise pool users on safety practices and proper pool usage.
  • Identify and resolve issues such as leaks, pump failures, filter blockages, and chemical imbalances.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of pool systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical usage, and equipment service.
  • Report major repairs, incidents, or safety concerns to supervisors or pool management.
  • Recommend upgrades or improvements to pool systems and facilities.
  • Ensure water clarity and cleanliness by removing dirt, algae, and contaminants.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification in pool maintenance, water treatment, or related fields is preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance, water treatment, or facility management.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, or public pools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of pool water chemistry and chemical handling safety.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pool pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorination systems.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical skills for equipment maintenance.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Physical stamina to perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
