System Administrator

This is an on-site role in Roy, Washington. Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 & Identity (Primary Focus)

• Administer and continuously improve Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
• Own identity lifecycle management across Microsoft Entra ID, including hybrid identity configuration via Entra Connect
• Design and enforce authentication and access governance policies — MFA, Conditional Access, PIM/PAM, and RBAC
• Lead the migration from on-premises Exchange Server to Microsoft 365 , including planning, cutover, and post-migration support
• Lead the migration from on-premises Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID , including hybrid identity strategy and transition planning
• Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for modern device management, endpoint compliance, and policy enforcement
• Serve as the escalation point for identity, authentication, and M365 platform issues
• Monitor platform health and proactively address performance, security, and compliance concerns
• Collaborate with Security, HRIS, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to support audit and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational standards

On-Premises Infrastructure & Networking (Secondary Focus)

• Provide senior-level oversight of Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments, with a strong focus on system uptime and availability across all production and operational systems
• Setup, manage, and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, VLANs, switches, and routing to ensure reliable and secure connectivity across facilities
• Deploy and manage network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve connectivity, performance, and availability issues before they impact operations
• Administer DHCP and DNS services, ensuring accurate IP management and name resolution across the environment
• Maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure and support backup and disaster recovery operations
• Leverage PowerShell and Bash scripting to automate tasks and bridge on-prem and cloud workflows

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with significant depth in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
• Strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive administration
• Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management, MFA, Conditional Access, and privileged access management
• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), Entra Connect, and hybrid identity architectures
• Experience with Microsoft Intune for MDM and endpoint compliance
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals firewalls, VLANs, switching, routing, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls and VLAN segmentation in a multi-site or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with network and infrastructure monitoring platforms such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix
• Demonstrated track record of maintaining high system uptime in a production or operations-critical environment
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
• Proven ability to lead complex migration projects with cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Working knowledge of on-premises infrastructure — Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and VMware
