Lubrication System Analysis Engineer / Lube-TMS Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a Lubrication System Analysis Engineer (Lube-TMS Engineer) to support Pratt & Whitney aerospace engine programs. This role focuses on the analysis, development, and optimization of engine lubrication and thermal management systems to ensure performance, reliability, and certification compliance across the engine lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings strong systems-level thinking, hands-on analysis experience on Oil pump, bearing compartments, Seals, De-oiler, Scavenge pumps, De-aerator, Two-phase flows, to address field events and the ability to collaborate across IPTs including mechanical design, valves, controls, structures, and certification teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SS & Transient analysis and modeling of engine lubrication systems, including system oil flow, main oil pressure, oil temperature, pump inlet pressure & efficiency, thermal performance and field data trending analysis
- Support Thermal Management System (TMS) integration as it relates to lubrication, heat rejection, and engine operability
- Develop and maintain analytical models and simulations to assess system performance across operating conditions and mission profiles
- Conduct trade studies to evaluate design options, system architectures, and component selections and optimization
- Support engine development, qualification, and certification activities related to lubrication systems
- Investigate and resolve system-level issues related to lubrication performance, durability, and reliability
- Interface with design, manufacturing, test, and certification teams to ensure robust and compliant solutions with excellent optimization techniques
- Document analysis results, assumptions, critical lesson learnt and recommendations in accordance with Pratt & Whitney engineering standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems analysis (lubrication, thermal, or fluid systems preferred)
- Strong understanding of engine lubrication systems, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics
- Experience with system modeling, analysis tools, or in-house aerospace analysis environments
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, IPT environment
- U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Pratt & Whitney or other aerospace OEM engine programs
- Background in Thermal Management Systems (TMS) or integrated engine systems
- Familiarity with engine certification requirements and development lifecycle
- Experience performing root cause analysis for system-level issues
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
