Job Summary
The System Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex IT systems and enterprise architecture solutions. This role provides technical leadership to ensure that all systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy and technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define end-to-end system architecture for new and existing enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- Develop architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines aligned with organizational goals.
- Evaluate current systems and identify areas for improvement, modernization, or migration.
- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural direction across development and infrastructure teams.
- Define integration patterns and ensure seamless interoperability between systems and platforms.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure design integrity.
- Review and approve technical designs submitted by development team.
- Ensure architecture complies with security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Document architecture decisions, patterns, and rationale using standard frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a system or enterprise architecture role.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure architecture.
- Deep knowledge of microservices, APIs, SOA, and integration architecture.
- Proficient in programming languages and frameworks, including .NET Core and React.js.
- Proficiency in architecture modeling tools such as ArchiMate, EA, or similar.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills
- TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with zero-trust security architecture principles.
- Background in real estate, construction, or development sector is an advantage.
