System Engineer

Divine Logic is hiring a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across multi-tenant business environments. This role requires technical independence, project ownership, and the ability to contribute directly to client success through both infrastructure management and compliance initiatives.

Title: Systems Engineer (MSP)

Employment: Full-Time Hourly

Reports to: Manager of Operations

Location: Divine Logic Inc. (Fresno, CA)

Typical Hours: Mon - Fri, 8a-5 PT (hourly/overtime available)

Compensation: Starting at $70,000 - $85,000 annually

Job Responsibilities:

· Act as an escalation point for technicians on complex networking or security issues Troubleshoot servers, workstations, networking, backups, and endpoint security

· Perform firewall adjustments, switch configurations, and M365/O365 baseline setups

· Mentor Technicians while maintaining openness to coaching from senior staff

• Configure/maintain switches, APs, and firewalls; implement VLANs; build/monitor site-to-site VPNs
• Harden configurations, review logs, and remediate alerts alongside security tooling
• Support identity, email security, and Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (Entra ID) baselines
• Keep network diagrams, KBs, and client runbooks current in the PSA
• Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders; set realistic expectations
• Assist with compliance-related initiatives (HIPAA, PCI, cyber insurance)
• Contribute to continual improvement of internal SOPs, documentation libraries, and engineering standards
• Support project planning by estimating labor, identifying dependencies, and coordinating with the MSP Supervisor
• Participate in quarterly vCIO reviews and client strategy sessions with leadership
• Help enforce network and security standards across the managed client base

Requirements:

• 4+ years of IT infrastructure experience (MSP preferred)
• Strong Windows Server/AD, Microsoft 365, and virtualization background (VMware, Hypervisor, Proxmox)
• Backup/DR management and endpoint security tools experience
• Firewall, VPN, VLAN, and network fundamentals
• Demonstrated project ownership and documentation discipline
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Valid driver’s license for occasional on-site work

Recommended:

• 4-year degree preferred
• Certs: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ (or equivalents)
• Familiarity with common MSP stack tools: Halo (PSA), NinjaOne (RMM), Veeam (backup), Huntress (EDR)
