Job Title:
System Engineer – System Administrator / IT Support for Privacy Management Tool
Job Summary:
The System Engineer is responsible for the technical administration, operation, and support of the organization’s Privacy Management Tool. This role ensures system availability, performance monitoring, user support, access control, incident resolution, and coordination with the solution vendor while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Operations:
- Manage, configure, and maintain the servers and infrastructure supporting the Privacy Management Tool.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and stability.
- Implement and verify system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data protection measures.
Security & Privacy Compliance:
- Apply security policies, user access controls, and permission management.
- Monitor audit logs and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Support the implementation of security controls and risk management activities.
User Support & Training:
- Provide technical support to end users and privacy officers.
- Troubleshoot system access issues, performance problems, and data-entry-related errors.
- Prepare user guides, training materials, and conduct onboarding sessions.
Vendor Coordination:
- Coordinate with the system vendor for upgrades, patches, and technical enhancements.
- Log and follow up on incidents until resolution.
- Participate in product review sessions and propose improvement requests.
Integration & Development Support:
- Assist in integrating the tool with internal systems such as SSO, Directory Services, and APIs.
- Test new releases, updates, and system enhancements.
- Support the creation of custom reports and dashboards.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations and procedures.
- Prepare user documentation, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3–7 years of experience in system administration or IT technical support.
- Experience with compliance or privacy management platforms is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and system operations.
- Solid troubleshooting skills for system, network, and application issues.
- Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP/S, LDAP, SSO, API integrations.
- Familiarity with data protection standards (e.g., GDPR, NCA regulations) is a plus.
Language Skills:
- Strong command of the English language (speaking, reading, and writing) — mandatory for vendor communication and technical documentation.
Soft Skills:
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical users.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
