System Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure & Automation)

FIMMICK is seeking a talented Digital Growth Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing our clients’ digital growth strategies, creating engaging content, optimizing conversion rates, and exploring new digital frontiers.

• Drive Infrastructure Automation using RPA, Terraform, and Ansible

• Manage Multi-Cloud Environments: AWS, Azure, AliCloud

• Lead Cloud Cost Optimization and Process Improvement initiatives

We are looking for a proactive and analytical System Engineer to join our IT team. This role is not just about keeping the lights on; it is about modernizing our infrastructure. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between traditional system administration and modern DevOps practices, focusing heavily on automation, cloud efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Infrastructure & System Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth system analysis and user requirement studies to design robust infrastructure solutions.

• Perform administration and vulnerability management for Windows and Linux environments.

• Provide Business-As-Usual (BAU) support to ensure high availability and stability of critical IT systems.

Automation & Optimization:

• Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency using automation technologies, including RPA (Robotic Process Automation).

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible and Terraform to streamline provisioning and configuration.

• Analyze cloud usage patterns across AWS, Azure, and AliCloud to implement cost optimization strategies (FinOps).

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with external vendors for project planning, service delivery, and technical support.

• Work cross-functionally with Platform Services and Cloud Engineering teams to improve IT processes.

• Track, measure, and report on the success of improvement initiatives to senior management.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in System Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Technical Stack:

  • Strong proficiency in Windows & Linux administration.

  • Experience provisioning VMs and resources on AWS, Azure, and/or AliCloud.

  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and system monitoring tools.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

• Experience with Cloud Cost Management/FinOps tools.

• Certifications in Azure (Administrator/Solutions Architect), AWS, or DevOps methodologies.
