Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer / System Administrator to install, configure, implement, maintain, and support Windows and Linux-based systems while providing expert support for operational and customer requirements.
Based in Abu Dhabi, this role focuses on managing server infrastructure, supporting enterprise systems, troubleshooting system-related issues, and ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of customer and internal IT environments.
The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in system administration, with hands-on experience in Windows Server, Linux systems such as Red Hat or Oracle Linux, virtualization, system troubleshooting, patching, backup, access management, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux-based systems.
- Administer Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, or similar distributions.
- Manage Windows Server roles and services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, and certificate-related services.
- Perform system administration tasks including user management, access control, permissions, patching, updates, service management, and log analysis.
- Support application servers and customer-deployed solutions running on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Troubleshoot operating system, application, authentication, certificate, network connectivity, and service-related issues.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, disk usage, logs, and critical services.
- Support backup, restore, recovery, and basic disaster recovery activities.
- Apply system hardening, security updates, endpoint protection, and access control best practices.
- Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
- Assist in the deployment and support of secure communication, PKI, authentication, and enterprise application solutions.
- Participate in client site installations, testing, commissioning, and support activities.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including installation steps, system configurations, troubleshooting notes, and support reports.
- Escalate complex issues when required while maintaining proper follow-up and ownership.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
Certifications:
- Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle Linux, VMware, or similar system administration certifications are preferred.
- RHCSA, RHCE, Microsoft Certified, VMware, or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
- Basic cybersecurity or information security certifications are an added advantage.
Skills and Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in system administration, system engineering, infrastructure support, or technical support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.
- Good experience with Linux administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or similar distributions.
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file sharing, permissions, and user access management.
- Experience with Linux services, package management, file permissions, storage, networking, system logs, and service troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
- Good knowledge of server installation, configuration, patching, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot system performance issues, service failures, boot issues, authentication issues, certificate issues, and application errors.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, basic networking, firewall connectivity, ports, DNS resolution, and client-server communication.
- Familiarity with certificates, PKI, authentication, encryption concepts, and secure system configuration.
- Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot technical issues logically.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Professional attitude when dealing with customers.
Work Environment and Availability
- Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- On-site availability with occasional remote work flexibility, as required.
- On-call rotation for critical incidents and emergencies.
