Role Overview

We are seeking a System Software Engineer to support the development of high-reliability aerospace systems. This role focuses on translating customer requirements into structured system and software documentation and ensuring compliance with aviation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret aerospace customer specifications
• Develop:
• System Requirements
• Software Requirements
• Software Test Procedures
• Support compliance with RTCA/DO-178B/C standards
• Conduct peer reviews and participate in design reviews
• Perform software verification and validation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree in Engineering or related field (required)
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar (preferred)

Experience & Skills

• Experience in structured software development environments
• Familiarity with aerospace or safety-critical systems
• Understanding of DO-178B/C standards
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused

Work Environment

Primarily office-based engineering role with extended computer use. Occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs). Moderate noise environment typical of a manufacturing setting.
