Systems Administrator

Systems Administrator

Job Overview: As a Systems Administrator at Arkham Technologies, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks. You will ensure the integrity and security of IT infrastructure while providing technical support and troubleshooting to end-users.

Job Requirements:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system management tools
  • Manage and monitor servers, network devices, and related systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access or breaches
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and optimizations
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to systems administration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficient in Linux system administration to support engineering teams working in a Linux-based development environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and server technologies
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with network protocols, routing, and switching
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
