Systems Administrator

<Duties>

• Manage and optimize system architecture across multiple platforms including Linux, Windows, VMware, and AWS cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain system security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and information security protocols to safeguard organizational data.
• Design and deploy scalable solutions utilizing microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, and containerization tools to support application development and deployment pipelines.
• Oversee database administration tasks involving MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Automate routine tasks through scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Shell Scripting to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to develop CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Azure DevOps for seamless software delivery.
• Monitor system health using load balancing techniques, RAID controllers management, DHCP/DNS configurations, and network troubleshooting with Cisco or similar equipment.
• Lead solution architecture efforts by integrating service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices frameworks, and ensuring compliance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to support ongoing operations and audits.

<Qualifications>

• Proven experience in system administration across diverse environments including Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server (2016/2019), VMware ESXi/ESX hosts, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing strategies, and network security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with storage management using RAID controllers and SAN/NAS solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm for deploying microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL or T-SQL for SQL Server environments.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git repositories (GitHub/GitLab), CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of information security principles including firewall configuration and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred. Pay: $90,107.27 - $123,473.27 per year
