Systems Administrator (Data Engineer):

Leads Program Execution Office- Advanced Analytics (PEO-AA) data engineering and data integration tasks for current and future visualization products. Manages the daily data engineering activities for key software tools including but not limited to JIRA, Confluence and Tableau. Works closely with the Agile Management Team (AMT) to support the optimization of system operations and resource utilization, and system capacity analysis and planning activities. Help users in accessing and using data engineering systems developed by AMaS to support the program.

• Leads data engineering and data integration tasks for current and future visualization products.
• Standardizes and integrates disparate data sets and helping to implement improved data governance across PEO AA to inform critical decision metrics.
• Prepares PEO AA data foundations to securely and effectively leverage advanced analytical tools and communicate value story to leadership.
• Produces and maintains Python scripts required to enhance visualization functionality.
• Develops JIRA, Confluence and Tableau products as needed to ensure data integrity across the PEOAA program.
• Works at the Management Team level and provides guidance, direction and support to the RTM Teams as needed.

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in JIRA/Confluence tracking tools, Tableau integration with JIRA.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more Data Science related programming languages i.e. Python
• Experience developing and modifying dashboards.
• Demonstrated experience with SQL, rational databases, normalization, and ETL Process (Extract, Transform, Load).
• Tools/Skills: Python, SQL, PySpark, Jupyter Notebooks, Tableau

DESIRED

• Experience exploring and establishing connections to undocumented Application Programming Interphases.
