Systems Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking an entry level Systems Engineer. You will serve as an engineer in the Naval Architecture & Engineering Department. This position is full-time located on-site at Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support system definition, requirements development, and functional analysis for ship design projects.
• Assist in creating and maintaining system architecture models, interface control documents (ICDs), and system diagrams.
• Participate in trade studies and design reviews to assess system performance, weight, cost, and risk.
• Support integration of shipboard subsystems (propulsion, power, navigation, communication, HVAC, etc.).
• Perform requirements traceability, configuration management, and verification planning.
• Collaborate with naval architects, mechanical/electrical engineers, and program management.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and customer review.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum experience 1 year with System Engineering in internships, or school environment.
• This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain an Active or Interim Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
• Knowledge associated with engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, and/or testing
• Candidates must be able to work independently, collaboratively, and interface regularly with a wide range of client personnel.
• Proficiency with MS office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat and MATLAB.
