JOB TITLE: Systems Specialist

REPORTS TO: Manager of IT

SUPERVISES: N/A

WORKING HOURS: This is an hourly position that requires availability to support users in a 24x7x365 environment including holidays and weekends as necessary.

SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Manager of IT, provides technical support to users of desktop computer, telephone, audio-video, and office equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and software systems.

2. Maintains documentation of tickets, solutions and assets, ensuring accurate records of IT infrastructure and processes.

3. Performs operation, repair, and maintenance of audio-video, PBX, VOIP, and other electronic systems as required.

4. Provides technical setup, takedown, support and operation of River Rock Casino and company provided events.

5. Provides first level response for support, repair, and maintenance.

6. Assists in training and supporting end-users in the operation of desktop and enterprise applications.

7. Handles user requests in a timely and effective manner.

8. Analyzes and resolves complex issues, often under pressure, to ensure smooth operations.

9. Monitors and escalate security measures to protect data and systems.

10. Applies given technology to improve the overall end-user experience.

11. Support with the maintenance of gaming systems to ensure optimal performance.

12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and get along with co-workers while working as a team.

13. Communicates effectively and collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

14. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.

15. Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.

16. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.

17. Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the casino’s operational needs.

18. Participates in all required meetings and training courses.

19. Always maintain confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the enterprise’s gaming business.

20. Always presents a professional appearance.

21. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

1. Must possess an AS degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

2. Minimum of three (3) years documented professional experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.

3. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting.

4. Familiarity with server administration, database management, and virtualization technologies.

5. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to ensure data protection and compliance.

6. Ability to integrate and manage various software applications and platforms preferred.

7. Strong knowledge of casino management systems, gaming software, and industry-specific compliance requirements preferred.

EDUCATION:

1. Must possess an AS degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

2. Specialized coursework or certifications in casino management systems, gaming technology, or cybersecurity will be advantageous.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

2. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for the successful performance of this position.

3. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.

4. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.

5. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

1. Relevant IT certificates (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are preferred.

2. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be insurable with the Casino.

3. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino.

2. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

3. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

4. Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.

5. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.

6. Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
