T-SQL QA Engineer

QA/Test Engineer – Data Migration & T-SQL (Banking Domain)
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Location: Bangalore
Work mode: Hybrid (2 days/week in office)
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze business and technical requirements to design test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans.
* Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and scripts based on system and data requirements.
* Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to validate both new features and existing functionality.
* Conduct data validation testing for complex data migration and integration programs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect tracking tools; work closely with developers and analysts for resolution.
* Perform root cause analysis for identified issues and clearly communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
* Support and contribute to test automation initiatives to improve test coverage and efficiency.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, providing QA insights and recommendations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, developers, data teams) to ensure alignment on requirements and test deliverables.

Must-Have:

* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a QA/Test Analyst role, preferably in client-facing environments.
* Strong command of T-SQL – ability to write complex queries for data selection, transformation, and validation.
* Hands-on experience in financial services, with a preference for retail and business banking products and data models.
* Experience in large-scale data migration and integration testing projects.
* Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality assurance best practices.
*Excellent analytical and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

* Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting.
* Experience with Jira Xray for test management and defect tracking.
* Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles in the context of financial systems.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 - 12 months

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
