Job Overview

O'liv Catering are seeking a talented and creative Tablescape and Event Stylist to design, execute, and manage the aesthetic elements of our catered events, from intimate dinners to large-scale weddings and corporate gatherings. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to translate a client's vision into a stunning reality. This role is crucial in ensuring the visual presentation of our events consistently exceeds client expectations and enhances the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Planning:
• Collaborate with clients and the Event Manager to understand event themes, color palettes, and overall ambiance.
• Develop detailed design plans, mood boards, and sketches for table settings (linens, flatware, glassware, centerpieces) and overall event decor.
• Plan layouts for dining areas, including seating arrangements and buffet presentations, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal.
• Execution and Operations:
• Source and procure decorative elements, working with a network of vendors (florists, rental companies, lighting technicians) to secure necessary items within budget.
• Oversee the end-to-end setup, installation, and breakdown of all decor elements on event days, ensuring timely completion according to the event timeline.
• Work closely with the catering and service staff to ensure seamless integration of food presentation with table aesthetics.
• Troubleshoot any on-site design or decor issues quickly and calmly during the event.
• Inventory and Quality Control:
• Maintain an organized inventory of in-house props, linens, and decor items, managing stock levels and coordinating cleaning/storage after events.
• Ensure all decor elements meet high quality standards and align with health and safety regulations.
• Client Relations:
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process, managing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction with the final presentation.
• Conduct client consultations and site visits as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in event design, event styling, floral design, or a related creative field, preferably within the hospitality or catering industry.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in tablescaping and event decor.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong artistic flair with an understanding of color, texture, and balance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/carry decorative items and equipment.

Education

• A degree or certification in culinary arts, visual arts, interior design, or event management is a plus, but practical experience and a strong portfolio are highly valued.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
