Tag Management & Data Integrity Specialist
We’re hiring a web analytics engineer to lead auditing, implementing, and optimizing
event tracking and data governance across the digital properties we build and
maintain for our clients. Our work spans sites that are heavily transactional (e-
commerce, lead gen), along with several multi-site platforms that share analytics
strategies across a portfolio of brands. This role is for a detail-obsessed, senior-level
specialist who can confidently own GTM, tagging QA, and data integrity.
Key Focus Areas
Own the end-to-end design and governance of data collection and analytics
infrastructure (e.g., GTM, GA4, Triple Whale, CDPs).
- Translate business goals into data strategy, tagging specifications, and KPI
frameworks.
- Audit and refactor existing GTM container(s) for scalability and performance.
- Implement pixel and event tracking (client- and server-side) across platforms
such as Meta, Google Ads, and Shopify, working closely with developers when
necessary
- Validate and QA all tag deployments using tools like Charles Proxy,
ObservePoint, or Adobe Debugger.
- Ensure all data collection aligns with privacy regulations and consent
management requirements.
- Create and maintain clear implementation documentation for all tracking
systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in tag management, ad tech implementation, or digital
analytics.
- Expert-level GTM skills, including data layer strategy and server-side setup.
- Experience with Shopify analytics configurations
- Strong debugging abilities across browser environments and analytics tools.
- Fluency with marketing pixels and event-based tracking (Meta, TikTok,
Pinterest, etc.).
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to clearly communicate technical
recommendations to stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Frontend development experience sufficient to implement DataLayer pushes
or class names in our code bases
- Experience building out dashboards in analytics tools like Google Data Studio
/ Tableau / PowerBI
