Responsibilities:

• Implement and promote the MBCC Safety Procedures and Programs to ensure own safety and the safety of all others in the workplace.
• Conduct thorough inspections of site to assess compliance with standards and regulations as per MBCC guidelines and Global industry standard on Tailings Management
• Manage a tailings storage facility. Using the GISTM (Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management) as a framework,
• Supervise diligently the Tailings Dam activities, Monitoring system and communication of results to the EOR
• Work with the engineer of record to continuously improve and implement the quality assurance and control, construction monitoring, and dam surveillance programs
• Strictly maintain the application of the Health and Safety rules, as well as respect for the environment
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure control measures are in place (sampling, and testing)
• Provide guidance and supervision to Contractor in implementing their daily tasks.
• Interpreting and understanding design drawings and making continuous improvement recommendations.
• Supervise and/or perform field testing according to the standards and technical procedures including but not limited to permeability, FDT, etc.

Demonstrated thorough knowledge and proven ability in emphasis on soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls

• Verify and manage Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
• Analyze soil test data and provide comprehensive reports.
• Discussing different solutions to problems with other technical staff
• Supervise and give direction to the contractor supervisor and operators.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness

Ensure that all sample collection and processing is done as per the Standard.

• Manage project resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials
• Perform other tasks as required or as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering Subject (soil mechanics, Geotechnical).
• Saudi Council of Engineering credential

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• 2 years’ work experience or above.
• Fluency in English
• Competency in MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint
