Party Plus Tents + Events is searching for a Results-Driven General Operations Manager, who isn't afraid to take ownership of challenges in their role and Drive Accountability across their team.

The ideal candidate drives results by taking initiative, solves problems proactively, and delivers on commitments, focusing on core duties like leading teams, overseeing projects, and implementing strategies with a "get it done" attitude rather than blaming others.

This role is crucial in orchestrating unforgettable events that align with our mission of making it happen for our customers. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our event rental business operations, from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take Initiative: Proactively identify issues and implement solutions without prompting.
  • Drive Accountability: Ensure team members meet goals and deliver on commitments.
  • Own Projects: Oversee projects from conception to successful completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Problem Solve: Analyze complex situations and make decisive, effective decisions.
  • Lead by Example: Foster a culture of ownership and high performance.
  • Direct & overseeing daily operations of the warehouse ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to maintain timely deliveries.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisory team, providing training and support as needed.
  • Implement efficient order fulfillment processes to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Scheduling and monitoring of transportation logistics to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality services.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations for setup, during events, and removal upon completion.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after events.
  • Evaluate event success and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in Retail Management, Party & Special Event Rental Management, &/or Operations Management is a MUST!

  • Proven track record of taking full responsibility for outcomes, both positive and negative in warehouse supervision or management roles.
  • Strong ability to pivot, learn from mistakes, and lead the team forward.
  • A strategic thinker who also rolls up their sleeves to get things done.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on transparent, accountable leadership.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SINCE MOST PARTIES AND EVENTS ARE HELD ON WEEKENDS, THE GENERAL OPERATIONS MANAGER MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ENSURE THEIR SUCCESS; THIS COULD MEAN BOTH THE REMOTE DIRECTION OF THEIR STAFF, AND/OR THEIR OWN DIRECT INVOLVEMENT AS NECESSARY! This is especially crucial in the peak months of May, June, September, and October.

* Relocation Assistance subject to Company and Federal guidelines. Must work at least 24 Months or reimburse company for costs.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
