About the Role
Purnell & Company, operating under the Aflac brand, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to own and optimize our recruiting pipeline. This role is the engine behind our hiring process — ensuring candidates are engaged, qualified, and showing up. You will work directly with our Regional Sales Coordinator to keep the right people moving through the funnel at every stage.
This is a full-time, in-office position located at 5720 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, Suite 625, Dallas, TX 75340. You will be provided with communication templates and sourcing tools, and are expected to take full ownership of pipeline health and candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Management
- Manage the full candidate pipeline from initial outreach through interview scheduling
- Monitor pipeline health daily and proactively address drop-off points
- Maintain accurate candidate records and status updates across all sourcing platforms
Candidate Engagement & Show Rate Optimization
- Execute timely and consistent touchpoints with candidates at each stage of the process
- Implement strategies to increase interview show rates through proactive communication and confirmation workflows
- Leverage provided templates to communicate next steps clearly and professionally
Interview Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate all interviews between candidates and the Regional Sales Coordinator
- Brief leadership on all upcoming interviews with clear who/what/when/where details
- Serve as the point of contact for candidates leading up to and through the interview process
Sourcing Platform Management
- Manage active job postings and candidate flow on Indeed and ChatStrike (Aflac's internal platform)
- Monitor and work to improve platform ratings and employer presence
- Identify opportunities to increase qualified applicant volume and pipeline quality
Candidate Vetting
- Conduct initial screening to ensure candidates meet baseline qualifications before advancing
- Apply consistent, compliant screening criteria in alignment with company and Aflac standards
- Flag and escalate any candidate concerns to leadership appropriately
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition, or pipeline management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you will be the voice of this brand to candidates
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment with a collaborative team
- Familiarity with sourcing platforms such as Indeed; experience with ATS or CRM tools a plus
- Understanding of compliant hiring practices, particularly within sales or 1099 contractor environments
- A proactive, ownership mindset — you don't wait to be told something fell through the cracks
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a similarly regulated sales industry
- Experience improving employer brand ratings on platforms like Indeed or Glassdoor
- Background working with 1099 or contractor-based workforce models
How You'll Work
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, supported by communication templates and clear process guidelines. Your primary point of coordination is the Regional Sales Coordinator, Dana, who you will keep fully informed on all candidate activity. Once a candidate is hired, the onboarding and paperwork process transitions to our operations team — your focus is the pipeline, not the backend.
As a lean, high-performing team, we value people who are adaptable and willing to lend a hand where needed. This may occasionally include general administrative support — nothing outside the scope of your role, but reflective of a team-first environment where everyone contributes.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
