Talent Acquisition Specialist (Remote)

A New York City-based nonprofit services organization is seeking a new Talent Acquisition Specialist for a contract Remote position.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour workweek with 1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Leading sourcing and recruitment efforts for assigned roles
  • Developing proactive sourcing strategies
  • Managing the recruitment process from outreach through the offer stage
  • Screening and interviewing candidates to assess skills and fit
  • Supporting high-volume hiring tied to new program funding
  • Coordinating the background clearance lifecycle
  • Maintaining communication with candidates to minimize attrition
  • Tracking requisitions and candidate activity in the ATS
  • Ensuring compliance with hiring requirements
  • Providing recruitment coordination support

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
  • Experience with sourcing candidates for mission-driven roles
  • Familiarity with background checks or compliance-driven processes
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with managers and external partners
  • Detail-oriented and reliable in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Recruitment certification
  • Experience in Case Management and/or Social Services hiring
  • Advanced abilities in Sourcing
