The Talented & Visual Arts Teacher will deliver high-quality art instruction to students across grade levels, support the Talented in Visual Arts program , and help build a strong arts culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging visual arts lessons using a variety of mediums.
  • Teach art techniques, creativity, and the elements/principles of design.
  • Identify students for the Talented Visual Arts program and maintain required portfolios and documentation.
  • Provide small-group or individualized instruction for talented students.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Communicate with families and collaborate with teachers and leadership.
  • Support school events, art showcases, and community initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Fine Arts/Art Education preferred.
  • Louisiana art or talented certification (or eligibility) preferred.
  • Experience teaching art in K–8 settings preferred.
  • Strong artistic portfolio and ability to teach multiple mediums.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Pay: $45,062.00 - $68,868.00 per year
