MUST HAVE FLORIDA PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE

We are seeking highly motivated Sterile Pharmacy Technicians ($26.00/hr.) plus shift differential, to join our team in Tampa, FL. We have General positions available as well as entry level positions leading to opportunities for advancement. MUST HAVE FLORIDA PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE. Shift is 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM or 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares batches in their entirety from non-sterile bulk powder to sterilized product utilizing the routine batch records.

Performs the first visual inspection of compounded injectables. Detection of contaminates require ability to identify color differences.

Applies product labels to variety of amber glass vial sizes and 1-liter intravenous bags.

Maintains proper cleanroom etiquette at at-all-times.

Ability to gown /garb appropriately every time entering the cleanroom area.

Develop a working knowledge of testing requirements for injectable products.

Cleans hoods or other equipment and documents the required information.

Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to documented methods.

Ability to learn and understand sterile compounding terminology (example: line of demarcation).

Assists the sterile supervisor with research and development of potential new products.

Stays up-to-date with all required competencies to include annual CriticalPoint and CE’s required for licensure. Motivation to continuously learn and improve.

All Pharmacy Technicians are required to don Gown and PPE to enter sterile room to complete cleaning

You possess the following qualifications, background and abilities:

• Able to work 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM or 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM ($26.00/hr), shift differential paid. Full-time positions available.

• MUST HAVE FLORIDA PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds

MUST HAVE FLORIDA PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE.
