Tank Designer Storage Tanks – Oil & Gas

We are looking for an experienced Tank Designer who will be responsible for preparing GA drawings, fabrication drawings, detailed engineering layouts, and design documentation for aboveground and underground storage tanks, ensuring compliance with relevant international design codes and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare GA, fabrication & detail drawings for storage tanks & related components.

Layout design for fixed/floating roof tanks including nozzles & accessories

Apply design codes: API 650, API 620, API 653, ASME Section VIII, IS 803

Generate BOM, nozzle schedule, welding details

Develop foundation loading data and coordinate with civil/structural team

Perform design calculations, plate thickness selection & optimization

Ensure drawings meet client standards and project timelines

Coordinate with vendors and review drawings across disciplines

Work on AutoCAD / SolidWorks / PDMS / E3D or similar 3D tools

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience: 6–8 years in storage tank design (Oil & Gas / EPC preferred) Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks / PDMS / E3D, MS Office Strong understanding of API / IS codes & welding standards Knowledge of fabrication, NDT & inspection requirements Please send resume at hr@nexevara.com
