Position Summary:

Team San Jose is seeking an experienced Stewarding Manager for a 3-week onsite assignment supporting culinary and stewarding operations. Reporting to the Executive Chef and Director of Stewarding, this role oversees all stewarding staff and ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across all food and beverage outlets and event spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule stewarding staff to maintain quality and profitability standards
  • Manage inventory controls and labor forecasting, including payroll reporting
  • Train and lead stewarding staff on sanitation, safety, and operational procedures
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and stewarding areas
  • Coordinate offsite catering logistics and event support
  • Maintain control of China, glassware, and silverware inventory
  • Manage vendor relationships and ordering of stewarding supplies and materials

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in F&B (hotel or convention center preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Immediate availability and ability to travel for 3 weeks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience working in union environments
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, sanitation standards, and chemical safety
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid Class C driver’s license
