Tasting Room Associate

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Tasting Room Associate to join our team and help create a welcoming, engaging experience for our guests. In this role, you’ll guide wine tastings, share knowledge of our menu, and deliver thoughtful, attentive service. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys hospitality, understands food and beverage, and can connect naturally with guests.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and provide engaging wine tastings, sharing detailed descriptions of each offering to enhance their experienceEducate customers on our wine selections, food pairings, and menu options, promoting product knowledge and upselling opportunitiesAssist with menu planning and suggest food and beverage pairings to elevate guest satisfactionOperate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processingMaintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including food handling areas and serving stationsSupport event functions such as private tastings, tours, or small banquets by providing excellent service and ensuring safety standards are metHandle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure a positive experience for every guest

Requirements

Previous experience in restaurant service or food industry roles preferred; fine dining or catering experience is a plusStrong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests enthusiastically and professionallyKnowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience requiredFamiliarity with menu planning, meal preparation, food safety practices, and food handling regulationsAbility to upsell products confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactionsExperience in serving or banquet settings is advantageous; food industry background highly valuedCulinary experience or culinary training is a bonus; excellent communication skills are essentialMust be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $25.75 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
