Our brand is playful, but our hospitality is serious: we want every guest to feel welcomed, cared for, and excited to come back. We’re looking for a Tasting Room Manager who can lead with warmth, keep the team aligned, and help us build what’s next.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role that blends hospitality, team management, and sales. You’ll oversee day-to-day tasting room operations, lead tastings with knowledge and enthusiasm, support wine club growth, and build systems that keep a small team running smoothly.

What you’ll do

Guest experience & sales

  • Lead the guest experience on the floor, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and cared for
  • Host tastings with strong wine knowledge, storytelling, and a light, approachable style
  • Drive bottle sales and wine club sign-ups in a guest-first way
  • Manage reservations, large groups, and tasting room events

Wine club support

  • Create memorable experiences for wine club members and support member needs
  • Assist with sign-ups, order support, pickups, and club release events (in coordination with the Wine Club Lead)

Team leadership

  • Hire, train, schedule, and coach tasting room staff
  • Set service standards and provide ongoing training to keep the team confident, polished, and consistent

Operations & organization

  • Keep the tasting room clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready
  • Oversee day-to-day operational tasks like inventory coordination, supplies, and basic shipping/order fulfillment
  • Improve systems and processes over time (checklists, flow, training, and service consistency)
  • Meet regularly with management to review sales, training, events, and priorities

Compliance

  • Ensure the team stays current on required permits and follows alcohol/food service laws and winery standards

Marketing & events

  • Support events, promotions, and seasonal initiatives that increase traffic and sales
  • Assist with capturing photo/video content for social media as needed

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, tasting rooms, restaurants, retail, or a similar guest-facing environment
  • Confident communicator who can lead tastings and build rapport with a wide range of guests
  • Comfortable with sales goals and wine club conversations
  • Strong organizational skills (scheduling, prioritizing, follow-through)
  • Calm under pressure and able to lead by example on busy days
  • Professional presence and attention to detail
  • Able to obtain/maintain WA MAST permit and Food Worker card (or already have them)

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move cases and supplies (up to ~40–50 lbs)

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Paid sick time
  • Paid time off
