Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic tax planning advice. Your expertise will help clients optimize their financial positions while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

Duties

• Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations
• Conduct detailed tax research on complex issues such as estate planning, securities law, and mergers & acquisitions
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize financial growth opportunities
• Reconcile accounts including general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis
• Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or other financial software to prepare reports and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tax accounting with a strong understanding of tax concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory reporting
• Knowledge of estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law, non-profit accounting, and public accounting practices
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools for interpreting financial report writing and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or similar platforms
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and perform account reconciliation effectively
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and report writing
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
