Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax, CPA license, CPA candidate (150 credits), or EA Designation strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting and tax principles
  • Understand filing requirements and deadlines for income tax returns (individuals, trust and estate, corporate and partnership)
  • Requires strong analytical, reasoning and communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a busy environment
  • Experience with Thompson Reuters software preferred, but not required

Job Duties:

  • Ensure clients comply with IRS regulations and meet all federal and state tax obligations
  • Prepare tax returns and supporting workpapers primarily for individuals, trusts, and estates, while also assisting with corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Provide tax advisory and strategic tax planning services
  • Research tax issues and interpret federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Assist clients with IRS notices, tax audits, and other tax-related inquiries
  • Communicate with clients to gather and review tax information and respond to questions and concerns
  • Perform bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up accounting services during the off-season

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
