Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Tax Expert, CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or EA (Enrolled Agent), where your expertise will empower clients to navigate complex tax landscapes with confidence. As a key player in our organization, you will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial concepts to ensure accurate, compliant, and strategic tax planning and reporting. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help clients optimize their financial outcomes and achieve their fiscal goals.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and non-profit organizations with precision and compliance.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and interpret financial reports to inform tax planning and business decision-making.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, and other financial tools to maintain accurate records including general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet preparation, and account analysis.
- Reconcile accounts payable/receivable, perform double entry bookkeeping, and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Support regulatory reporting obligations while maintaining thorough documentation of all tax-related activities.
- Collaborate with clients on budgeting, financial planning, investment analysis, payroll processing, and non-profit accounting needs.
- Deliver clear financial report writing and interpretation to help clients understand their financial health and compliance status.
Requirements
- Active CPA license or EA designation with proven experience in tax preparation and consulting. This requirement maybe waived for candidates with 10+ years of tax preparation. experience.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms; experience with financial software for asset management or payroll is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax accounting practices including debits & credits management across various industries including non-profit sectors.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for client interactions and report delivery.
