Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Your expertise in accounting software and tax preparation will be essential in delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• Review financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
• Provide clients with guidance on tax-related issues, including deductions and credits.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client accounts.
• Conduct thorough analysis of financial documents to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance customer service and streamline processes.
• Engage in marketing efforts to attract new clients through effective communication of services offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and corporate accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and financial software tools.
• Excellent math skills with the ability to perform calculations accurately.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating financial data and providing insights.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
• Experience in financial sales or marketing is a plus.
• Familiarity with technical accounting practices is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
