Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This is a commission-based opportunity offering 50% of collected fees per client prepared, providing strong earning potential for driven professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual and/or business tax returns accurately and efficiently
• Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the tax preparation process

Qualifications

• Previous experience preparing tax returns (individual and/or business)
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• PTIN required (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• EFIN (if applicable)
• Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax, etc.)
• Bookkeeping or accounting background

Compensation Details

• 50% commission on collected client fees

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
