Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our team. In this role, you will lead complex tax engagements, provide strategic tax planning advice, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional service while leveraging your expertise in various tax areas. Duties

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for diverse client portfolios, including individual, corporate, partnership, and non-profit entities
  • Conduct detailed tax research on complex issues such as estate planning, securities law, and mergers & acquisitions to inform client strategies
  • Assist with tax planning strategies tailored to clients’ financial goals, including estate planning and asset management
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations in all tax-related reporting
  • Support audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciling accounts, and providing analysis for financial statement accuracy
  • Collaborate with clients on financial report interpretation and provide insights into financial concepts relevant to their business growth
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools for accurate bookkeeping and financial statement preparation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in public accounting or corporate tax roles with a strong background in tax experience across various industries
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, tax accounting principles, double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent platforms
  • Knowledge of estate planning, wills & trusts law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), non-profit accounting, and securities law is highly desirable
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and conduct account reconciliation effectively
  • Strong communication skills for clear financial report writing and client interaction
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
