Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
• Design engaging lesson plans that promote active participation and foster a love for learning.
• Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring safety, discipline, and positive behavior management strategies are consistently applied.
• Support early intervention strategies to assist children with special educational needs or developmental delays.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
• Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance experiential learning opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, childcare best practices, and curriculum updates.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes child welfare, emotional well-being, and social skills development.
• Support classroom management through clear rules and consistent routines that encourage independence and respect among students.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and community outreach initiatives to strengthen school-home connections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices.
• Experience with special education techniques and early intervention programs.
• Familiarity with curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Ability to manage classrooms effectively using behavior management strategies suited for young learners.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students’ families effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with educational standards.
• Experience working in private schools or Montessori environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment tools for early childhood education.
