Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and active participation
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
  • Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and observational techniques
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children’s social-emotional development and address individual challenges
  • Incorporate literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and early childhood development principles into daily lessons
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans to ensure compliance with educational policies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing early intervention programs
  • Familiarity with special education practices and experience supporting children with diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for toddlers, preschoolers, or students requiring additional support such as those in Montessori or private school settings
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and literacy education best practices
  • Relevant certifications in early childhood education or teaching credentials preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.75 - $16.05 per hour
