Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall development.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and active participation among students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using proven behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
- Support early intervention efforts by identifying individual student needs and collaborating with specialists when necessary.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and facilitate smooth daily operations.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, tutoring sessions, and informal evaluations to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Develop age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including preschool experience, toddler care, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Incorporate diverse teaching tools such as lesson planning software, visual aids, and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience working with children across early childhood education levels, including preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners and incorporate literacy education alongside math and physical education components.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, tutoring practices, and child welfare standards.
- Prior private school or Montessori experience is a plus but not required.
