In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring each child's developmental needs are met with care and professionalism. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in preparing classroom materials and setting up engaging activities aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children during lessons, playtime, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and respectful classroom conduct
- Help monitor children’s progress, document observations, and communicate developmental milestones to the teaching team
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care in collaboration with specialists
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Provide basic first aid when necessary, including responding to minor injuries or health concerns following established protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is essential
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a strong plus
- Classroom management skills to effectively guide behavior and foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and early childhood activities enhances your ability to support diverse age groups
- Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other caregivers to support children's growth

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
