Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and classroom management, with experience working with children across various developmental stages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and social growth. Candidates with expertise in curriculum development, special education, literacy education, and Montessori methods are highly encouraged to apply. A commitment to child welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learners are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula aligned with educational standards and individual student needs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in subjects such as math, literacy, physical education, and early childhood development.
  • Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
  • Utilize classroom management techniques to support student engagement and discipline.
  • Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and other evaluation methods; adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Support children’s social-emotional development through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support each child's learning journey, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies.
  • Incorporate diverse teaching methodologies such as Montessori or other innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes child welfare and overall well-being.

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is preferred.
  • Experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers through preschoolers.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, behavior management techniques, and literacy education strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and tutoring methods.
  • Experience with daycare or private school environments is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Background in teaching physical education or integrating movement into lessons is a plus.
  • Experience working with diverse learners using inclusive teaching practices such as Montessori or other specialized approaches is desirable. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
